redposJPG Press from local, regional, national and inter-national music magazines and industry media sources hail Kinzel & Hyde as “real-deal Southern sound-and should be on everyone’s wish list” {Juke Blues}. “They are head and shoulders above the pack” {Blues Free Press} and “a real treat for the senses” {Salem Statesman Journal}. “Kinzel and Hyde are possibly the best act of their kind the NW has produced” {Back to the Roots}. They are regular features at NW festivals and events, and perform several nightclub dates per month as headline act. Endorsements from Hohner Harmonicas and Baldoni Accordions complement prestigious award recognition from the Cascade Blues Association as “Best Traditional Act” winners 2001-2002-2003 and nominees “Best Blues Harmonica” and/or “Best Acoustic Guitar” AND "Best Traditional Act" 2000-01-02-03-04-05-06-07.

Stu Kinzel is from Portland, OR. He has been a professional musician and purveyor of fine string instruments since 1977. Kinzel has toured and opened for several national acts. He is well noted for his finger style and Slide guitar playing as well as his singing and song writing. Stu Kinzel is lead vocalist in both the duo and band acts and continues to record as sessions player for NW and national musical acts.

LynnAnn Hyde is from Encinitas, CA. and is a regular feature at professional harmonica exhibitions. She began playing harmonica at the age of 36, and quickly rose through the local ranks to become one of the top-booked acts in the Portland area. Through endorsements from national recording artists including Paul deLay and Jerry “Boogie” McCain, Hyde has achieved international notoriety for her playing skills and unique tone. The pair has been performing together since 1997, and have become one of the best known husband-wife acts on the W. Coast. Although harmonica and guitar are the main features, both artists play several instruments. Stu Kinzel and LynnAnn Hyde continue to write and record their own music at Blue Heron Records.
